Description
The course is an in-depth study of the structure and reactivity of organic compounds with an emphasis on mechanisms to explain reactivity. The topics covered include acid-base chemistry, alkanes/cycloalkanes, stereochemistry, alkenes, alkyl halides, radical reactions, nucleophilic substitution reactions and elimination reactions. Prerequisite: Chem 134. Offered: Fall
