Biography

Elizabeth Hunt is a Professor and Director of Character in Leadership at the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, ND. Dr. Hunt holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, an MA in Mass Communication from NDSU, and a BA in English and History-Political Science from the University of Jamestown. Her research interests include sensemaking, organizational change and crisis communication, leadership communication, organizational culture and climate, servant leadership, and values and character education.

Description

The purpose of this course is to study the basic principles of leadership from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The course addresses leadership and ethical theory as well as an introduction to effective communication and group/teamwork. The course will establish a foundation of knowledge and experience with leadership to initiate the development process of the students' personal plans for leadership in their lives. Offered: Fall.
