Description
A detailed mathematical study of thermodynamics as it applies to chemistry. Topics will include state functions and equations of state, chemical equilibria, phase equilibria, and electrochemistry. Statistical mechanics will be introduced in terms of its relations to thermodynamics. Prerequisites: Chem 344, Math 252, and Phys 203. Offered: Fall, odd years.
