Becky L DeGreeff

Dr. Becky L. DeGreeff completed her PhD in Communication Studies at North Dakota State University in 2010. She has taught a variety of Communication courses as an Assistant Professor at Upper Iowa University, an Assistant and Associate Professor at Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin - Stout. Her scholarly research interest includes interpersonal and family communication, spiritual communication, and autoethnography. Outside of academia she is a wife, mother, and E-RYT 200-hour certified yoga instructor. She loves spending as much time as possible outdoors with her family.

Description

This course is designed to introduce students to the basic tenets of good academic research and writing in preparation for upper division coursework, the field of communication work, and graduate study. Particular emphasis will be given to learning to read and understand academic journals and writing, appropriately planning research, and learning APA writing style and format. Offered: Spring
