Becky L DeGreeff

Dr. Becky L. DeGreeff completed her PhD in Communication Studies at North Dakota State University in 2010. She has taught a variety of Communication courses as an Assistant Professor at Upper Iowa University, an Assistant and Associate Professor at Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin - Stout. Her scholarly research interest includes interpersonal and family communication, spiritual communication, and autoethnography. Outside of academia she is a wife, mother, and E-RYT 200-hour certified yoga instructor. She loves spending as much time as possible outdoors with her family.

Description

Introduces students to the concepts and function of theory in socal science and in the communication discipline. Students will be exposed to several social scientific paradigms and will examine a variety of theories relevant to areas such as mass communication, organizational communication, small group communication, message production, and social and cultural reality.
