This course includes a study of the structure and function of domestic and global financial markets, including the role of money, the behavior of interest rates, commercial banking, the Federal Reserve, and the impact of monetary policy on economic outcomes. The primary focus of this course is an understanding of the role of money and monetary policy affecting macroeconomic outcomes in domestic and international markets. Prerequisites: Econ 202.
