Description
This course will provide students with an introduction to the history of the American West—as a process, as a region, as a concept, and as a myth. We will delve into prominent debates in the study of Western history, and explore various approaches different historians have taken to the topic. In the later portions of the course, students will design their own lessons and discussions for the class based on the readings they have selected for study. Term Offered: As Needed.
