Description

This course will explore the cultural, philosophical, and athletic impact of ancient Greece on the development of Western civilization. Identify and understand the views of the body that were important to Athens and Greece that to this day affect the status of sport and physical education in the United States. Understand the contributions of Aristotle to education, and his contribution to the Olympic Games of antiquity, along with the philosophical views by Plato and Socrates. Offered: Spring, Even Years
