Description
This course will cover protocols for conducting emergency action steps in the field of competition. Procedures such as conducting the physical assessments, administering first aid for bleeding, tissue damage, moving an injured athlete, and returning athletes to play will be covered. Strategies for greatly reducing athletes' risk of injury or illness will be covered. Students will complete their CPR and AED certifications in the course. Prerequisite: KNS 217 or Biol 208.
