Description
In the Harmony/Theory courses the student will gain teh ability to discern the design, proportions and patterns of music by developing skills in musical analysis. They will also gain an understanding of the styles of music that evolved during the different periods of musical writing. Finally, they will discover insight into the ways in which music is put together and into the forms, elements, and traits of the composer. Toics covered in Mus 160 include: musical notation, scales, tonality, key, modes, intervals, transposition, and chords.
