Nursing Leadership/Management (NRSG 426)

Description

This course integrates leadership, management, and professional role development to prepare students for transition into professional nursing practice. Emphasis is placed on clinical judgment, prioritization, delegation, communication, and coordination of patient care within complex healthcare systems. Students examine organizational culture, workforce dynamics, health policy, and quality and safety principles that influence patient outcomes and nursing practice. Through experiential learning, students develop leadership identity, refine teamwork skills, analyze professional issues, and create a career development plan that demonstrates readiness for entry into practice as a bachelor’s-prepared registered nurse.
