Description
This course examines theories of organizational design, leadership, and management, as they apply to health services and professional nursing roles. Direct-entry MSN students will discuss organizational environments, social structures, culture, politics, and leadership models. Management principles and issues related to organizational behavior are analyzed within the context of current healthcare environments to allow students to integrate principles of organizational dynamics and leadership into nursing practice. Prerequitie: all previous NRSG courses. Corequisite: NRSG 544, NRSG 545.
