Description

This course examines the foundation of behavior and is an overview of the field of psychology with an emphasis on fundamental processes and principles. Topics that are covered include scientific method, the nervous system and behavior, sensory processes and perception, learning, memory, motivation, cognition, personality, and behavior disorders. The general purpose of this course is to have students demonstrate a knowledge of the basic concepts, principles, theories, and issues related to these topics. This course is a prerequisite for all courses in psychology except Psyc 203. Offered: Fall, spring
