Description
This course presents a survey of the historical and sociological perspectives of drug use and abuse, the physiologcial and psychological effects of drugs, the identification and pharmacological characteristics of drugs, and the legal implications of drug abuse. A special focus on contraindication, drug interactions, and side effects is included. Prerequisites: Psyc 101; one upper division psychology course or enrollment in the Addiction Counseling program.
