Description

This course looks at the basic findings of the social sciences with reference to the institution of marriage and family. It examines in particular the contemporary American couple throughout all stages of the life cycle. Factors are identified which should be considered when making critical decisions, such as to marry, to have children, to divorce. Topics include diversity in the areas of sexuality, marriage and family, and selected issues that confront American families today. Offered: Fall.
