Description
This course is an orientation to early childhood education focusing on the history, philosophies, social foundations, and theories. Developmentally appropriate practices for children birth to age eight will be covered. Emphasis will be placed on teacher's role and responsibilities regarding parental involvement, play, and meeting the individual learning differences and cultural diversity. A field experience of fifteen hours is required. Offered: Fall
