Description

This course is an introduction to the principles of industrial robotics, related systems, and applications. The technical aspects of industrial robotics are covered in four units: Principles of Robotics; Power Supplies and Movement Systems; Sensing and End-of-Arm Tooling; and Control Systems and Maintenance. Topics included are industrial applications, electromechanical systems, fluid power systems, sensors, computer vision, robots in modern manufacturing and designing and construction of a robot. As the part of this course, students get hands-on robotics programming experience on Programmable - PincherX 150 Robot Arm, and will design picking and placing experiments.
