Description

This is an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics, intended for students pursuing a degree in the Department of Business, Accounting, and Economics. Topics covered include: collecting, organizing and describing data; probability, random variables, and probability distributions; sampling and normal distributions; estimation; hypothesis testing; categorical data and goodness-of-fit tests; and linear regression. Prerequisite: Two years of high school algebra or college equivalent. Offered: Fall
