Hello! My name is Mal Jason. I am an Assistant Professor and Chair for the Department of Communication Studies at UJ, as well as an adjunct faculty member for the Professional Studies program. I study rhetoric, religion, and their intersection in public discourse. I love working with students and learning new things every day. Visual communication is the process of organizing, designing, and creating messages in print and multimedia form that meet specific purposes and practical needs. In this course students investigate the role of visual culture in daily life, exploring fine art, popular culture, film, television, advertising, business communications, propaganda, viral social media, and information graphics.
