This course provides the student with hands-on instruction in the creation and manipulation of a variety of computer generated graphics using industry standard software tools. Students will learn to create and edit full-color illustrations exhibiting line and shape, volumetric form, and shading and depth by using vector illustration techniques. Additional concepts will include basic photo editing techniques that involve color corrections, retouching and repairing, working with selections, layer and mask basics, correcting and enhancing digital photographs, typographic design, and preparing files for the web. Offered: Fall and Spring.
