Description
This is the first of four full-time clinical experiences (Practicums PT 881, 882, 883, and Internship PT 884). Each
experience will be in a different practice setting in locations available throughout the U.S. The clinical
experiences will be structured to give each student a variety of learning opportunities providing exposure to
comprehensive care of patients/clients across the life span and exposure to a wide variety of diagnoses.
During this six-week practicum, students will practice foundational elements in the clinical setting, under the
supervision of a clinical instructor. Foundational elements include safety and risk management, professional
behavior, adherence to legal and professional practice standards, communication, and clinical reasoning
skills
